This was originally designed for the Grand Prix of America (which pre-dated the Malibu Gran Prix). This particullar car is one of only a few ever built. As you may know, the Grand Prix of America went out of business shortly after starting out. This car was supposedly engineered and built by the DeLorean brothers and Herb Adams (which explains the use of off the shelf GM parts). Make no mistake - this car handles, brakes and drives so much better than the Malibu Virage cars it's ridiculous! I have owned several Virage cars and sold them all. Probably what I like best about this car is the fact that it doesn't carry any over-engineered safety systems like the Virage cars. No bulky bumpers, no wheel guards, etc. This car was built in a time where people knew how to drive, and lawyers were few and far between.
