1961 Rupp D-300 w/Mac 91a

Description
I found this kart over a year ago in the back of a honda dealership where my friend works at. The kart was in pretty rough shape but it was all there. I didn't see any bends or rewelds on the chassis so I figured this would be a great canidate for a winter project. The kart came with the Mac91A, seat upholstry , and half moon style fuel tank. After purchasing the kart I decided to restore it. I had the chassis blasted and powdercoated. I purchased all new repo GO-POWER wheels from asw since the original turbine wheels were to far gone with rust and cracks. The fuel tank chrome is a little bad but no dents....so I left it alone. The upholstry had no ripps or tears in it so I left it the way it was also. The mac91a was sent out and rebuilt by a friend of mine who has been racing lay-down karts for 40 years. There was a new nos piston and rings installed as well as all new seals. I have a hegar / gem engine mounts that goes along with the sale and the old rear axle assembly. I believe the pictures that were taken explain the rest. The engine has not been mounted or fired yet....I have an extra walbro carb the goes with he kart. There is a mukuni carb that is on the mac now. I was told these engines run the best with this carb set-up.. I have invested alot of time and money into this old kart but I have to unload some of my toys in order to purchase a home soon... I also had to purchase the longer spindles in order to accomodate the go-power wheels. I didn't install the pedals or linkage yet due to transportation reasons. The tires are vintage west german made continentals on the front and indian head carlisles on the rear. I have the clutch and a spare set of azusa pedals. I Hope this ad describes how nice this vintage kart came out. Thanks for looking... Sincerely Robert .... If there is any further questions or concerns reguarding the sale of this kart contact me at 215-370-2128...
